Starting May 15, 2012, members of the Elks will be able to send membership invitations to friends and family via the elks.org website. Invitees can then "click through" to submit their membership application online. Lodge Secretaries will be notified of these applications via the "Alerts" screen on CLMS, and can import the data directly into their database with the simple click of a button. From that point forward, the candidate will be processed through CLMS just like any other membership candidate.
Q & A: Have our membership policies changed? No! Membership in the Elks is still by invitation only, and the Order's membership requirements remain unchanged. the new online application system simply translates our current hard copy application to the Internet. the questions on the application remain unchanged.
Are we discontinuing the use of the hard copy application? No. The electronic membership application is a quiker and more efficient alternative to the hard copy application, but it is not a replacement
